About Us: New American Independent Party wishes to grow and be in position to truly help the American people. However, the NAIP does not wish to suffer the same fate as the current two major parties. Good intentions for change can quickly result in further corruption as a party gains power. Thus we seek new ways to construct internal mechanisms so our party does not become dependent on big money. While we would put this money to good use, over time human nature may lead to corruption. Thus we seek contributions of 'people power' to build our movement. We will succeed in our movement and we will defy the odds by succeeding without owing anything to big contributors. We take pride in achieving success with our own strict campaign finance laws. We seek to win elections, not buy them! Hence, the NAIP plan is to leverage the contributions of countless individuals who will investments time and talents to Make America, America Again. We believe that the Federal Government’s Priority is for the security of our nation and to manage an environment that fosters a strong and robust economy, while protecting the constitution. We believe that State and Local government must focus on providing excellent and cost effective service to and for the people as well as the economy. History of the NAIP The New American Independent Party (NAIP) is a political party in the United States, founded in Wayne, Pennsylvania in 2004. The first meeting took place on the day of the general election in 2004 at the Valley Forge National Historical Park in Valley Forge, PA. Party Colors Primary: Purple & Gray Secondary: Red, White & Blue NAIP Candidate Requirements: The New American Independent Party does not, and nor does our candidates accept money from PAC's or corporations. NAIP candidates agree to NOT accept more than 55% of their campaign contributions from outside of the district in which they are running for the 2010 election cycle. The NAIP will continually strive to approach 100%. The NAIP supports public campaign funding. All NAIP candidates, supporters and party members are expected to adhere to strict Civil Discord goals. We seek to take the much more difficult high road and strive to abstain from derogatory remarks about other party platforms and candidates. NAIP Candidates are expected to emphasize their abilities to succeed in a specific elected position instead of discussing why others will fail or should not be supported. Candidates of the New American Independent Party are forbidden to accept any and all types of gifts or payments from lobbyists or from any other private interests seeking special favors, or favorable legislation from the government at the local, state or federal government level. Candidates of the New American Independent Party who become public office holders are forbidden to serve as lobbyists with the state or federal government within (6) six full years of the date of termination or departure from their service to the American people. Candidates of the New American Independent Party who become public office holders are forbidden to represent or lobby on behalf of any foreign government or corporation for a period of (8) eight full years beyond the end of their service to the American people. State Candidates of the New American Independent Party who are elected to public office will agree to NOT vote themselves pay raises unless that state budget is balanced or is running a surplus. Federal Candidates of the New American Independent Party who are elected to public office will agree to NOT vote themselves pay raises until the Federal government is running surplus budgets and the National Debt has been reduced to a sustainable level or eliminated. All candidates will agree that if they are ever convicted of abusing the power of their elected position or have moral or ethical lapses that can damage the party, they are pledged to immediately resign and agree to abdicate any future compensation or long term benefits from their governmental services (pensions, benefits, ….). No NAIP candidate will run for office under their first name only. |
